Food 07: Shin Kushiya

I had a fantastic meal at Shin Kushiya yesterday. While my companion and I did not tried the udon (which is supposed to be really good), we did try their skewers (5 stars!) and their wafu beef.

Our appetizer was soft shell crab sarada sushi. It is held by soft rice skin and when you dip it into the sauce provided it tasted fantastic! Only gripe was how messy it was when eating. $9++ for a 6 sushi - 4 small size, 2 bigger size.

We ordered about 6 different types of skewered meat. I suggest ordering their meat ball, and beef with mozarella cheese. The cheapest is $1.90. Average is $2.40. I do believe you need to order a set to be able dip the special sauce =S)

Next on the list was the wafu steak (medium done). I have never tried it before and it tasted so good that ordinary steak cannot hold any candles to it. Yummy. Portion is too small. $27++ for one.

We are supposed to have butteryaki salmon but Ken ordered the wrong dish instead - teriyaki salmon. The portion is small for its price at $13++. Taste is ok.

The desert is Azuki Parfait. This is a red bean ice-cream with red bean paste. Size wise it isn't as big as the Green Tea Parfait at Sun with Moon but it's sinful. Must try. $8.90.

Shin Kushiya is at #02-120/122 VivoCity 1 Harbourfront Walk.
